Hominy feed is a palatable animal feed product that's an important and economic ingredient containing an excellent source of protein, energy, vitamins, and minerals. Derived from the corn dry milling process, it allows for the maximum flexibility in ruminant rations as a complete or partial replacement for grain or as a replacement for the major portion of protein coming from traditional protein sources. It contains more than twice the protein and three times the minerals of corn, and it has an energy value greater than 90% of that of corn and may be included in rations at up to 50% on a dry matter basis.
